Malachy O'Rourke reckons Donegal will be hell-bent on avenging last year's Ulster SFC final defeat to Monaghan when the sides do battle for the Anglo-Celt Cup once again on Sunday week.
"Donegal have a lot of hurt from last year, they probably have a lot of hurt from the league final as well," the Monaghan manager said after his side's Ulster SFC semi-final replay victory over Armagh.
"I am sure they will be coming in and made keen to get a big performance. We are just glad to be there and we will prepare as well as we can for it."
The Fermanagh native was pleased with the improvement in his side's display from the drawn encounter.
"We wanted to put in a big performance and try to get back to an Ulster final," he added.
"The last day, Conor (McManus) was fairly well shut out and he was keen to make amends and when you can get quality ball in, he can make things happen.
"All it does is get us into the final and Donegal have had two good looks at us now."
